Thanks Darron. Man that's some impressive patterns. That 20ga is all a guy needs.
I base my effective range off of 100 pellets in a 10" circle. Once I go below the 100 pellets, that is my limit. Therefore, all the guns above would cleanly kill a bird out to 40 yards. In fact, my 3.5" guns would probably have the pattern out to 50 if I misjudged the range a little bit.
The little 20 was nice to shoot. Very light and very low recoil. Yet the #7 hevishot hits like #5 lead. This set-up should a toast a bird out to 40 yards, probably even 45. My only concern is the close shots inside 25. Man, I'll have to hold that thing like a rifle.
