Today, Jacob, my youngest son(9) harvested his first goose. Jacob, Rory and I went to a local farm this evening to see if we could convince a few local geese to give our decoys a serious look as they flew towards their evening roost. On the first flock circled us once and as they started to fly away, i called the shot and Jacob took one bird out of the flock. We were busted on two other flocks as we searched for his downed bird.
What a fun night with an added bonus of have Mrs. Hougan tagging along to watch for her very first hunt.
That is one big honker, Jacob stand 5-1 and this goose is hiding most of him. Way to go Jacob
