Thank you so much for
visiting Ohio Turkey Hunter!
On behalf of my father, Roger
Swift, I created a website for dad and all his pal's to
enjoy. Dad has been hunting ever since I can remember. I
recall my first time hunting with dad and my grandfather,
Arnold, when I was about 7 years old. They took me coon
hunting just off Paint Creek Road in Highland County late
one night and all I can remember was chasing those dag gone
dogs around all night as it felt like it was -40 zero. Dad
and Grandpa could have went all night if I didn't complain
enough till they took me home. I wasn't to fond of coon
hunting like those guys were, but I did find something I did
enjoy and that was hunting rabbit and squirrels. Grandpa and
dad always set me up with the good ol' 4-10 shotgun to hunt
with. Man those were the days. I use to, and dad forgive me
for this one, skip school just to hunt down along the
railroad tracks that ran between SR 41 and Rapid Forge Road
in Greenfield. Hunting to me was a great escape from all the
troubles and worries that I may have had back then. There
was nothing more relaxing than being outdoors with my dog
and my trusted gun.
I've come to appreciate what
dad has done here and this is my way of showing my thanks
and appreciation to him. Dad loves hunting, and his site.
Dad is always looking to improve his site here so his
members and visitors gain and contribute to the wealth of
knowledge between them. I'm very proud of my dad, and I hope
that you can find a place in our hearts here at Ohio Turkey
Hunter! Please consider joining our forum at your
convenience.
